About GoKawiil
GoKawiil writes short, plain-language briefs on the technology stories that matter, based on reporting from trusted publications across the web. Each brief explains what happened, why it matters, and where to read the original account.
What We Do
For each story we publish a GoKawiil Brief in our own words, a "Why It Matters" section with the context and consequences behind the news, and key takeaways — so readers can understand the significance of a story in under a minute. We summarise reporting; we do not republish it.
Our Sources
We follow established technology publishers including Ars Technica, The Verge, TechCrunch, Hacker News, and dozens of other reputable outlets. Every brief credits the publication that did the reporting and links back to the original story.
Name Origin
GoKawiil is named after K'awiil, the Maya deity associated with lightning, knowledge, and technology — fitting for a platform dedicated to illuminating the tech landscape.
