At IFA, Lenovo unveiled a wave of new hardware, including RTX Spark-powered Yoga laptops aimed at creative professionals and an affordable, colorful IdeaPad Vibe series targeting students and budget buyers. The Vibe starts at $700, matching the MacBook Neo's price, but ships with only 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD, and Lenovo confirmed there's no student discount planned for it.
At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Lenovo showed off two concept devices: Project Swan, a 14-inch laptop whose screen horizontally extends to 17 inches, and Project AeroBlade, a laptop design featuring a ventless cooling system aimed at cutting fan noise without sacrificing performance. Alongside these prototypes, Lenovo also previewed upcoming retail products including a new OLED monitor, high-end desktop PCs and additional consumer laptops set to launch within the next year.
At IFA Berlin 2026, Lenovo showed off Project AeroBlade, a concept laptop that replaces traditional fans and heatsinks with Frore Systems' AirJet Mini air-pressure cooling modules. Lenovo is the first PC maker to demonstrate the technology, though the partnership with Frore is not exclusive.
Acer has relaunched the dormant Packard Bell name after 13 years, introducing a new 'Dot' product lineup at IFA 2026 that includes the DotBook 14 laptop alongside headphones and input peripherals. The 14.5-inch notebook runs on Intel's last-generation Twin Lake N355 processor, offers up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, and targets budget-conscious buyers with colorful, playful designs. For now, these Packard Bell products are only confirmed for sale in the European market.

Nvidia has detailed two variants of its Arm-based N1X chip that will power RTX Spark laptops arriving next month. The higher-end version pairs a 6144-core Blackwell RTX GPU with a 20-core Grace CPU and up to 128GB of unified memory, while the scaled-down laptop version uses a 5120-core GPU, an 18-core CPU, and up to 32GB of memory. Devices from Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI are expected to launch in October, alongside mini PCs like Microsoft's Surface RTX Spark Dev Box.
Lenovo is showing off a ThinkBook-based concept called Project AeroBlade at IFA 2026, which replaces traditional fans with Frore's AirJet solid-state cooling technology. The device is under 10mm thick and weighs less than 1.8 pounds, making it thinner and lighter than a current ThinkPad X1 Carbon while still running active cooling nearly as quietly as a MacBook Air. Acer unveiled the Vero 16, a laptop designed for easy repair with removable port covers, a detachable hinge, and a tool-free bottom latch, plus an internal component map etched on its case. The device features a MIL-STD-810H certified low-carbon aluminum chassis, user-replaceable battery and SSD, and support for processor upgrades across at least two generations. It launches early next year in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with pricing and a US release date still unannounced.
