ASUS has refreshed its ROG Xbox Ally X handheld into the X20 edition to mark 20 years of its Republic of Gamers line. The update keeps the same internal hardware, including an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip, 24GB RAM, and 1TB storage, but swaps in a larger 7.4-inch OLED Nebula HDR display with higher peak brightness and a new translucent black-and-gold design.
Two Intel processors, the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and Core i7-14700K, have entered Amazon's top-10 best-selling desktop CPU list for the first time in over a year, landing at #6 and #9. A hands-on comparison finds that liquid coolers, such as NZXT's Kraken 360mm AIO, deliver superior thermal performance for high-end CPUs like AMD's Ryzen 7 9800X3D, enabling demanding 4K/120FPS gaming without overheating. However, the piece notes these coolers cost upwards of $200, are harder to install, and require more long-term maintenance than air coolers, which remain the practical choice for mid-range builds.
