IEEE is proceeding with a restructuring of its geographic regions, first announced in February 2023. Region 1 will be eliminated and merged with Region 2 to form a new Region 2 covering the Northeastern and Eastern U.S., while the current Region 10 (Asia Pacific) will split into a new Region 10 for North Asia and a new Region 11 for South Asia and the Pacific.
