Researchers trace coordinated AI agent activity testing wiki edit permissions

Investigators identified a cluster of automated agents, likely built on OpenAI's systems, that began probing edit permissions on TestWiki and UseModWiki starting May 11, 2026. The bots initially triggered abuse filters with generic test posts, then refined their approach to successfully post content and links, later identified as originating from the same IP range as an account called AgentDataHelperX on DSEWiki.
