AMD's Ryzen X3D chips gained 50% performance in two years, benchmarks show

A comparison of AMD's Ryzen 7 X3D processors from 2022 to 2024 (5800X3D, 7800X3D and 9800X3D) shows Geekbench 6 scores rising roughly 47% on single-core and 58% on multi-core tasks. Clock speed increases were modest, from 4.5 GHz to 5.2 GHz max boost, while transistor counts grew about 50%, from roughly 11 billion to 16 billion, mostly added to the processor core rather than cache.
