RAM and storage boosts expected for most iPhone 17 models
Today TrendForce published its latest projections for what Apple will announce on September 9.
The report summarizes what we’ve largely already been expecting, with a couple notable changes.
On the RAM front, here’s what’s expected:
iPhone 17: 8GB (same as iPhone 16)
(same as iPhone 16) iPhone 17 Air: 12GB (up from 8GB in 16 Plus)
(up from 8GB in 16 Plus) iPhone 17 Pro: 12GB (up from 8GB in 16 Pro)
(up from 8GB in 16 Pro) iPhone 17 Pro Max: 12GB (up from 8GB in 16 Pro Max)
These significant memory boosts across most of the lineup is undoubtedly a reflection of the growing role of AI and on-device processing needs.
