Highlander

Deadline reports that Chinese martial artist and actor Max Zhang (Pacific Rim: Uprising, The Grandmaster, Master Z: The Ip Man Legacy) has joined the cast of Chad Stahelski’s Highlander in a currently undisclosed role.

Bob: The Musical

Deadline also reports Randy Mancuso (Musica) is attached to direct Bob: The Musical, a project that’s “been in the works for over a decade” at Disney. The story follows Bob, “an ordinary man whose worst nightmare becomes reality when he wakes up to discover that he’s trapped in a full-blown musical.”

Fury

Speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival, Guillermo del Toro stated he’s writing a new film for Oscar Isaac that the auteur described as “My Dinner With Andre but [with] killing people.”

I’m writing a project to do with Oscar. I’m writing it right now, and it’s called Fury, and essentially it’s going back to [the] sort of thriller aspects of Nightmare Alley — very cruel, very violent. Like My Dinner with Andre but [with] killing people after each course.
