The Long-Awaited Next Witcher Novel Arrives Later This Year

We knew a new Witcher novel was coming—but now we know when, with great news for readers across the world. Andrzej Sapkowski‘s latest book in the long-running series, which has spawned a massively popular video-game series as well as a Netflix franchise, is getting a global release in September, meaning you won’t need to know Polish to dive into its pages. Unless George R.R. Martin shares some big news anytime soon (unlikely), this could well be the most high-profile fantasy book release of the year. According to a press release, “Gollancz and Orbit will be publishing the novel simultaneously in the English language throughout the world in all print and digital formats alongside over 19 international publishers releasing translations into their respective languages, all on September 30, 2025.” The English edition will be translated by Witcher veteran David French; he’s also working on new translations for Sapkowski’s earlier series entries The Last Wish and Blood of Elves, due to hit ...
