OnePlus will bring its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 15, to North America on Nov. 13. It will be among the first phones to be powered by this year's top Android mobile chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which was revealed at the company's Snapdragon Summit Summit on Wednesday.
The company announced the news of the OnePlus 15's North American release at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit on Thursday.
"For more than a decade, OnePlus and Qualcomm Technologies have moved in lock-step to redefine what a flagship can be," said Pete Lau, founder of OnePlus. "With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 at its core, OnePlus 15 carries that legacy forward-delivering the speed, intelligence and efficiency our users demand today and into the future."

Along with the Snapdragon processor, the phone will feature OnePlus' biggest battery to date -- a 7,300-mAh carbon silicone dual cell unit. The phone looks set to be a photography and gaming powerhouse, taking advantage of OnePlus's DetailMax Engine and always-on 120 frame per second gameplay, along with up to 165Hz display refresh rate for select games.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 15 will have 40% reduced bezels compared to the OnePlus 13, which according to the company is all thanks to new display technology.
There's still lots we don't know about the OnePlus 15, including how the company might take advantage of the new Snapdragon chip features. But the company did assure us it's not getting rid of the SIM tray.
Usually there's a wait of between one and three months for OnePlus to bring its phones to North America after they are unveiled in China, but with the China launch scheduled for the end of October, people in the US will only have a couple of weeks to wait before the phone lands in the country.
