OpenAI held its DevDay 2025 event this week on Oct. 6, and the company had plenty to share regarding how developers can build around its AI platform and various models. The big story with the event this year was how OpenAI is transforming ChatGPT into more of an operating system than a standalone service.
Through partnerships with brands like Canva, Zillow, and more, ChatGPT users can now directly communicate with linked services right from the chat box. OpenAI also introduced a new App SDK, AgentKit, ChatKit, and Codex during the keynote, a slew of templates for developers to leverage its AI.
