AirTags have long been a go-to device for tracking luggage when traveling. But a recently added feature made that experience better than ever, and now JetBlue supports the change.
JetBlue now offers process for sharing AirTag location when luggage gets lost
Just before the end of last year, Apple shipped a major new feature for AirTag.
iOS 18.2 introduced a capability called ‘Share Item Location.’
Essentially the new feature offers a way to temporarily share tracking information for a lost AirTag or other Find My-compatible product with someone else.
What made this especially great was Apple’s partnership with airlines.
Apple worked with airlines to build support for tracking lost luggage right into their customer support systems. This offers a convenient way to share an AirTag’s location with an airline temporarily so they can help recover your luggage faster.
Several airlines were on board at launch, with more added over time.
The latest big addition? JetBlue. The company just announced that support for AirTag’s newest feature is now rolling out.
