Amazon is hosting its fifth consecutive October Prime Day sale, featuring some of the best discounts we've ever seen -- especially on big-ticket items like robot mowers. The Ecovacs Goat A3000 is one of the best LiDAR robot mowers I've used, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for people with a fenced-in yard, even if you have garden beds.
This mower performs very well, capable of handling up to 0.75 acres a day. It's typically priced at $3,000, but a Prime Big Deal has dropped its price by 31%, making it available for $2,085.

Because it uses LiDAR for navigation and mapping, the Ecovacs Goat A3000 robot mower doesn't require you to dig a boundary wire around the perimeter of your yard or to waste an afternoon finding the best spot for an RTK antenna. Instead, this robot operates similarly to a robot vacuum: its set of 360-degree LiDAR and ToF sensors captures its surroundings, and the robot processes the information to recognize what is in front of it.

If you have garden beds you'd like the mower to avoid, it's best if they're clearly defined with mulch, gravel, or a border, though you can also add no-go zones after creating a map.
The Ecovacs Goat A3000 LiDAR has a 13-inch cutting width, which is very generous in the robot mower market. Its wide cutting area reaches almost to the edge of the mower, offering one of the closest-edge cuttings I've seen thus far.
