Apple TV’s next two shows are my most anticipated of the fall

Apple TV is currently airing new seasons for two of its biggest hits, Slow Horses and The Morning Show. But over the next couple weeks, two brand new Apple TV series will premiere that have long been my most anticipated shows of the fall.

Down Cemetery Road is a new crime thriller based on the novel by Mick Herron.

If that name sounds familiar, it’s because Herron is the author behind Apple’s excellent Slow Horses series (the ‘Slough House’ books).

Emma Thompson stars as a detective hired by Ruth Wilson’s character to investigate a crime.

Slow Horses is one of my all-time favorite Apple TV series, and the trailer for this new show seems to follow in the footsteps of pairing dark comedy with a crime mystery—and I’m all here for it.

Down Cemetery Road premieres Wednesday, October 29 with its first two episodes—the same day Slow Horses’ season finale airs. Weekly episode drops will continue through December 10.

When a house explodes in a quiet Oxford suburb and a girl disappears in the aftermath, neighbor Sarah Trafford (Ruth Wilson) becomes obsessed with finding her and enlists the help of private investigator Zoë Boehm (Emma Thompson). Zoë and Sarah suddenly find themselves in a complex conspiracy that reveals that people long believed dead are still among the living, while the living are fast joining the dead.
