Apple’s website lists AirTag 4-pack for $29 in likely pricing error [Update: Fixed]

Update 7:02am PT: The fun is over. Apple has fixed the pricing error and AirTag 4-packs are back to $99. Apple hasn’t canceled my order yet, though.

As first spotted by our friends at 9to5Toys, Apple’s website currently has a wild “deal” on AirTags: a 4-pack for $29 (down from $99).

Unfortunately, this is almost certainly a rare pricing mistake on Apple’s part…

While we expect AirTag 2 to launch sooner rather than later, Apple never discounts hardware products, even when a new version is on the horizon. Even if it was an actual discount, why wouldn’t Apple also cut the price of the 1-pack?

On Amazon, we’ve seen an AirTag 4-pack drop into the $60-$70 range a few times, but never below that.

Anyways, as it stands right now, you can get a single AirTag from Apple for $29 … or a 4-pack for $29. The mistake only appears to be applicable in the United States. If you add engravings, the price jumps back to $99.

I’ve confirmed that orders do indeed go through. It’s practically guaranteed, however, that once Apple gets wind of this, my order will be canceled.

AirTag 2 is expected to offer several upgrades, including an extended tracking range, enhanced Precision Finding, and a more tamper-proof design.

As always, keep up with all of the latest Apple deals on 9to5Toys.
