Hey, listen! Nintendo's tunic-clad elven hero is making another building block appearance in 2026, and he has his iconic shield and sword in tow. Lego released a 12-second teaser to announce the new set, which seemingly includes mini figures of Link and Zelda, as well as the annoyingly talkative fairy Navi from the beloved game.
The video shows Link surrounded by Lego flames in a dark room, casting his gaze upward toward an assumedly rather large threat. This could very well be Hyrule Castle — one of the most iconic locales from the Legend of Zelda series — after the villainous Ganondorf seizes power. If that is true, it will be the first time the iiconic villain receives a minifigure variant of his own.
Link's green outfit and Zelda's pink dress suggest that the new Lego set will not be a set piece from the Nintendo Switch games Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. If Navi is included in the new set, it is likely that the next Legend of Zelda set will be representative of the fan-favorite Nintendo 64 game Ocarina of Time. Lego's teaser lays the groundwork for the second Legend of Zelda set. The first set, the Great Deku Tree, was released in September 2024 and featured the eponymous elder of the Korok Forest.
The Lego Great Deku Tree was a "two-in-one" set, meaning budding builders are able to create either the Breath of the Wild or the Ocarina of Time version of the character with the pieces contained within. It remains unclear whether the new Legend of Zelda set will also be a two-in-one build, and we don't know how many pieces are contained in the next build yet.
Nintendo and Lego have been collaborating since March 2020. The first set the companies revealed together were simple Super Mario Brothers figure arrays, with a more complex brick-built Nintendo Entertainment System and television set releasing later that year. Since then, Lego Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing and Game Boy sets have also been released.
