Something that I’m seeing more often as we get closer to Black Friday is the rise of sub-$1,000 65-inch OLEDs. It used to be that 55 inches was the biggest OLED TV you could typically buy without passing the $1K threshold. But, despite this being a year marked by rising tech prices and tariffs, you actually have a couple options when it comes to saving on big, contrast-rich TVs that’ll make you never want to leave your living room. Best Buy has two discounted models I want to tell you about: the Samsung S84F, which is now $949.99, and the LG B5, which costs $50 more at $999.99.

Samsung’s S84F is a Best Buy-exclusive version of the S85F, which is currently $200 more. This model cuts out the QD-OLED technology that brightens the image and boosts colors, but the presence of an OLED panel at all still makes this a tremendous value. It has four HDMI 2.1 ports and a 120Hz refresh rate screen.

LG’s B5 is a more affordable alternative to the higher-end C5, though it has many of the same great features. It has four HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K at 120Hz (compared to the C5’s 144Hz) and support for Dolby Vision. The biggest differences between the two models seem to be brightness, both for SDR and HDR content, as well as processing and upscaling, according to reviews site RTINGS. The C5’s extra brightness makes it better for well-lit rooms, and it’s able to upscale content better, too. However, the two sets are mostly on par with each other when it comes to most other points of comparison, making the B5 a fantastic value if you want to stay under $1,000. (On the other hand, if you have twice as much to spend, you should read about all the ways that LG’s G5 impressed us.)

Blink’s latest Video Doorbell had gotten a wild 50 percent price cut, which ended on November 7th. However, there’s still a good one happening. The Video Doorbell model that includes Blink’s Sync Module Core was $34.99 last week, but it’s now down to $29.99 at We also recently covered thathad gotten a wild 50 percent price cut, which ended on November 7th. However, there’s still a good one happening. The Video Doorbell model that includes Blink’s Sync Module Core was $34.99 last week, but it’s now down to $29.99 at Amazon — just a dollar more than the model that excludes the sync device. You definitely should opt for the package that includes it, and not just because it’s required to actually use the Video Doorbell. The component helps to improve the doorbell’s battery life, enables on-demand live view and two-way audio, plus allows for the simultaneous connection of up to 10 Blink cameras (it doesn’t support local storage, though the pricier Sync Module XR does).
