Insider tips built with Gemini
Google Maps
One of the most intriguing updates is the arrival of "know before you go" tips, powered by Google's Gemini AI. When you look up restaurants, hotels or event venues in Maps, scroll down and you'll see insights collected from reviews and web data. This will include information such as parking advice, dress code, reservation tips or off-menu favorites. It's like tapping into a local expert who knows the place inside and out, saving you the stress of discovering surprises once you arrive.
These insider tips are rolling out now in the US on Android and iOS.
A smarter Explore tab to unearth local gems
If you finish holiday errands early and wonder what to do next, or if you just don't know which coffee shop is worth trying, the upgraded Explore tab is there to help.
