The visitors come into this clash buoyed by their superb 2-1 victory over title-chasing Man City in the Premier League at the weekend. Currently sitting in sixth in the UCL league phase standings, the Magpies claimed an impressive 2-0 win over Athletic Club in their previous fixture.
Managed by former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi, Marseille are in real danger of missing out on the knockout stages, with three defeats from their four European fixtures leaving them a point outside the all-important top-24 qualification spots.
