Title-chasing Real Madrid is seeking a much-needed win on Wednesday, as they travel to the Basque Country to face an Athletic Bilbao squad seeking back-to-back wins for only the second time in La Liga this season.
Los Blancos have played to three stalemates in their last three La Liga fixtures -- a run which has allowed title rivals Barcelona to open up a four-point lead at the top of the standings coming into today's game.
Ernesto Valverde's inconsistent Bilbao, meanwhile, find themselves in the eighth spot, 11 points behind the all-important UEFA Champions League spots and come into this game off the back of Saturday's 2-0 away win over struggling Levante.
