Yesterday Apple shipped RC (release candidate) versions of its upcoming 26.2 software updates. But now just one day later, Apple has debuted a revised RC build for tvOS 26.2.

Apple is expected to launch its lineup of 26.2 software updates as early as next week, headlined by iOS 26.2.

On the Apple TV 4K side, tvOS 26.2 introduces a couple new features that relate specifically to user profiles.

You can now create new profiles without an accompanying Apple Account. Children’s profiles will now limit content in Apple’s TV app to titles that are age-appropriate.

The update also brings general bug fixes and performance improvements.

Yesterday Apple shipped the RC version of tvOS 26.2 to developers and public beta users, but now a revised RC is here.

Apple’s initial RC had build number 23K51, but today’s release is build 23K53.

It’s unknown what exactly has changed between the two versions. But typically when a new RC ships, it’s because of some critical bug Apple discovered that needed to be addressed before the public launch.

Assuming that no further issues are found in the latest build, today’s release should be the exact software version that ships in the public tvOS 26.2 launch—likely next week.

Have you been testing tvOS 26.2, and if so, have you uncovered anything else new? Let us know in the comments.
