It: Welcome to Derry is nearing the end. The first season of the Stephen King spinoff series has followed a new group of young heroes and revealed the origin story of Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
We've seen multiple adaptations of King's novel, It, but this is the first time audiences have delved into the backstory of the troubled town of Derry, Maine. The series takes place primarily in 1962, when, once again, the community is struggling with a bout of unexplained hatred and violence. According to legend, this cycle repeats every 27 years. Does this mean we may jump to 1989 if the show gets another season?
The horror series is co-created by Jason Fuchs and siblings Andy and Barbara Muschietti -- the partners who brought 2017's It to the big screen, as well as the sequel that followed two years later. Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise.
Also starring in the series are Jovan Adepo, Clara Stack, Chris Chalk, Taylour Paige, James Remar, Rudy Mancuso, Jack Molloy Legault, Mikkal Karim Fidler, Stephen Rider and Madeleine Stowe.
