MagSafe is coming to the iPhone 17e, per new report
The last few weeks have brought several rumors concerning Apple’s next iPhone 17 model—the low-cost iPhone 17e.
We’re now expecting a Center Stage front camera, a Dynamic Island, and thinner bezels.
But today’s latest rumor might merit the most celebration.
iPhone 17e will reportedly add MagSafe support—a feature Apple controversially didn’t offer in the iPhone 16e.
Though the iPhone 16e does support Qi wireless charging, Apple’s own MagSafe standard isn’t available. That means the device is incompatible with MagSafe accessories, and doesn’t provide the same quality of charging experience.
By adding MagSafe to the iPhone 17e, Apple is addressing one of the biggest user complaints about the previous model.
Combine MagSafe with the A19 chip, Center Stage camera, Dynamic Island, and more, and the iPhone 17e is shaping up to be an extremely compelling model for budget-conscious buyers.
