One Battle After Another follows an ex-revolutionary who is sucked back into his former life to save himself and his daughter from the crimes of his past. Since its premiere, the movie has generated plenty of Oscar buzz. If you missed it in theaters -- or simply want to experience it again from the comfort of your own home -- take note: One Battle After Another is coming to streaming.

Leonardo DiCaprio stars as Bob Ferguson, the washed-up revolutionary in question, who is sent on a race for survival when a vengeful man from his past, Steven Lockjaw (Sean Penn), comes out of the woodwork to tie up loose ends.

Paul Thomas Anderson wrote and directed the movie, which was loosely based on the book Vineland by Thomas Pynchon. Chase Infiniti, Benicio Del Toro, Regina Hall and Teyana Taylor also star.

One Battle After Another will begin streaming on HBO Max on Friday, Dec. 19, and then will hit HBO's cable channel on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 8 p.m. ET. (5 p.m. PT)
