Powerbeats Pro 2 just got new firmware from Apple, here are the details and instructions on how to update.
Just last week, Apple released new firmware updates for AirPods Pro 3 and AirPods Pro 2.
Now, the company has followed those releases with new Powerbeats Pro 2 firmware.
The latest firmware build is version 8A359.
Apple has not published any official release notes at this time, but most often firmware updates simply offer bug fixes and performance enhancements.
How can you update to the latest Powerbeats Pro 2 firmware? Like with AirPods, there’s no manual ‘Update’ button, but you can initiate an update by ensuring certain requirements are met.
Here are Apple’s step-by-step instructions:
On your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, make sure Bluetooth is turned on. Make sure that your Beats are connected to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Fully charge your Beats (or make sure they’re connected to power). Place both earbuds in the case, then close the lid. Keep your Beats in Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, then wait at least 30 minutes for the firmware to update. Reconnect your Beats to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Check the firmware version.
