The holidays are just around the corner, and Newegg has posted another opportunity to get your mitts on a high-quality AM5 motherboard and some of that all-important DDR5-6000 RAM, which is swiftly disappearing off the shelves or becoming out of reach due to astronomical price rises due to the ongoing RAM-pocalypse that's sweeping the globe. Newegg has paired the Asus RoG Strix X870E-H Gaming WiFi 7 motherboard with 32GB of G.Skill Flare X5 Series DDR5-6000 RAM for $469.99. Both items are also available at a deal when sold separately, but this combo bundle offering makes the overall price even lower still.

On its own, the Asus RoG Strix X870E-H Gaming WiFi 7 motherboard is on sale for $259.99, reduced in price from $399.99 (saving $140), and then the 32GB of G.Skill Flare X5 Series RAM is on sale for $329.99 when you use code DEACE455 at checkout and save $20 off the $349.99 list price. So the combined price for these two separate components on sale is $589.98, and the Newegg combo bundle lets you pick them up together for $469.99 - a further saving of $119.99.

These two components, together, form the basis of a potent AM5 system. Pair the motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 9000-series CPU for a powerful gaming PC. If you want the absolute best, consider popping the king of gaming CPUs into the build, the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The X3D processor uses a large 3D V-cache to increase the amount of available L3 cache in the CPU. The G.Skill DDR5 6000 memory kit hits the sweet spot for the AM5 platform, with 1:1 ratio performance with the memory controller for blistering framerates, especially at 1080p.

In the current climate RAM kits are at extraordinary prices, with DDR4 and DDR5 memory reaching all-time price highs, and still going. Where we were seeing these same kits near or under $100 at the start of the year, they are now hovering between $300 - $400 depending on brand. Even higher for faster memory kits with tighter timings. If you need RAM, get it sooner, rather than later, as there is no current end in sight for this current interruption to the PC enthusiast component and build sector.
