iOS 26 brought a bunch of great changes to Apple’s Wallet app, including an upgraded experience for boarding passes. Another major airline has recently added support for the new boarding passes, making at least three total so far. Here are the details.
Southwest Airlines joins United and Delta in iOS 26 boarding pass rollout
Apple’s Wallet app is used for a lot of things, from storing car keys, to event tickets, credit cards, and more.
One of the most popular Wallet features is boarding passes.
Saving boarding passes to Apple Wallet makes it quick and convenient to access those passes right when you need them. And in iOS 26, Apple upgraded the experience with three new features:
Live Activities Airport maps Luggage tracking with Find My
Live Activities for boarding passes can be shared with a single tap, making it easy for friends or family members to track your flight. And by integrating airport maps and luggage tracking right into the boarding passes, Apple has put more important travel info in one place.
The rollout of this new boarding pass experience is dependent on airlines. So far, we’ve seen evidence of both United and Delta adding support.
This past week, I traveled via Southwest and discovered that it now offers iOS 26’s new boarding passes too.
In addition to United, Delta, and Southwest, Apple has said the following airlines will add support soon: Air Canada, American Airlines, JetBlue, Jetstar, Lufthansa Group, Qantas, Virgin Australia.
