The annual CES conference always hosts some of the biggest innovations of the year, and Samsung just dropped a big reveal that it will be showing off fully at this year's event. For the first time, Google Gemini is coming to a refrigerator.

Samsung said the integration, coming to the Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub, will "simplify everyday tasks and elevate the overall kitchen experience."

One of the biggest improvements comes to the AI Vision feature that lets your fridge see what's inside, so you can add items to your shopping list or quickly check in while you're out shopping.

The existing version of this feature can recognize just under 40 types of fresh foods and 50 types of processed foods, which you have to register first. The new version will recognize more food items without needing a separate registration and eventually detect user-labeled items and foods stored in personal containers.
