Having seen an impressive run of wins ended by league leader Arsenal last time out, Aston Villa will look to get back on track on Saturday as it hosts a Nottingham Forest team that finds itself very much in the relegation mix.
Villa's 4-1 humbling away to the Gunners ended an incredible streak of 11 wins across all competitions for the host. While that defeat may have quietened talk of a title challenge for Unai Emery's men, they nevertheless remain just six points off the top of the league coming into this fixture.
They face a Forest side that has suffered three consecutive defeats over the Christmas period, with that worrying run of results leaving Sean Dyche's team just four points above the drop zone.
Aston Villa takes on Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Jan. 3, at Villa Park in Birmingham, with kickoff set for 12:30 p.m. GMT. That makes it a 7:30 a.m. ET or 4:30 a.m. PT start in the US and Canada, and an 11:30 p.m. AEDT kickoff in Australia.
