CES 2026 live: all the news, announcements, and innovations from the show floor and beyond

Asus’ Zenbook A14 that debuted at last year’s CES is now getting a bigger sibling for CES 2026. The new Asus Zenbook A16 is a 16-inch counterpart to refreshed Zenbook A14, both packing Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite processors. The two Zenbook A models are very similar, both sporting OLED displays, two USB 4 ports, one USB-A, 70Whr batteries, and Asus’ Ceraluminum coating in earthy beige and gray tones.

The new 16-inch model separates itself with its bigger and better display and a built-in SD card slot. The screen of the A16 is 2880 x 1800 / 120Hz to the A14’s 1920 x 1200 / 60Hz, and it can hit 1,100 nits of peak brightness to the smaller model’s 600 nits.

The refreshed Zenbook A14 looks just like last year’s. The new Zenbook A16 is a big beige boy.

Both the Zenbook A14 and A16 are incredibly light. In some configurations the A14 weighs under 2.2 pounds / 1kg, and the A16 is just shy of 2.65 pounds / 1.2kg. The 16-inch is around the weight of the LG Gram 16, which is a laptop that’s all about lightness, but the LG doesn’t have an SD card slot. I called the Zenbook A14 Asus’ wannabe MacBook Air when it launched last year, and the A16 seems to want to be the 15-inch MacBook Air alternative. Though, if you’re a photographer like me, that SD card slot seems a nice quality-of-life upgrade.

The new Zenbook A14 and A16 are set to launch in early-to-mid Q2 2026, with pricing to be determined later.
