Palworld, the monster-hunting action / adventure game known for its originality, is getting into the trading card business.

Pocketpair announced today that it has partnered with Bushiroad — the company behind the Weiss Schwarz and Shadowverse: Evolve trading card games — to produce a new TCG featuring creatures from Palworld due out on July 30th. Though the company didn’t share any card art, it says that the game will feature “strategic and tactical” battles between two players using decks featuring their favorite Pals like Blazamut, Celaray, and Grizzbolt.

The Palworld TCG will be debuting right in the thick of The Pokémon Company’s 30 year anniversary multimedia blitz, which will naturally include special sets of Pokémon cards. It’s going to be difficult to snag this year’s Pokémon cards given the resurgence of interest and demand for those collectables. So it might be worth checking out what Palworld has to offer (or to see what’s going on over in Digimon’s neck of the woods.)
