Components for small form factor PCs often come at a premium, especially if you’re looking for performance parts. Many people call this the “SFF tax,” so you should be ready to pay extra if you want a portable desktop computer — unless you get this deal. The Asus Prime RTX 5070 GPU is an SFF-ready GPU that’s currently available for just $539.99 on Amazon. This means you’re getting an 11% discount from its regular price, saving you $70 from its regular price of $609.99 and, crucially, bringing the price below MSRP. And even if you’re building a mid-tower or even full-sized mid-range gaming PC, this is one of the best prices you can get for the RTX 5070, especially as GPU prices are steadily climbing because of the impending memory-shortage-driven GPU shortage that have hit retailers in Japan and Germany.

The Asus Prime GeForce RTX 5070 is one of the most affordable options, and even though it lacks some features like RGB and overclocking, it’s still an excellent option and will deliver the performance that you’d expect from the Nvidia GPU. Even though it only features 12GB of VRAM, it offers decent gaming performance, capable of hitting an average of 80.4 fps without RTX and 69.8 fps with ray tracing on at 1440p Ultra settings. The Tom’s Hardware review of the RTX 5070 called the GPU a good option for your gaming system, as long as the price is reasonable — and this $70 discount puts it $10 below Nvidia’s $549 MSRP for the graphics card.

Save 11% ($70) Asus Prime GeForce RTX 5070: was $609.99 now $539.99 at Amazon The Asus Prime GeForce RTX 5070 is one of the most affordable ways you can get a mid-range Nvidia graphics card. This GPU comes with 12GB of VRAM and offers decent performance, especially with its below MSRP sale price.

The RTX 5070’s performance in both rasterized and ray-traced situations is good enough for 1440p gaming. And although it only achieves an average of 36.4 fps at 4K Ultra with ray tracing, this is still acceptable if you have no issues gaming with near cinematic frame rates. Another advantage that an RTX 50-series GPU will give you is DLSS 4.5. This will give you higher quality upscaled frames and even give you more frames per second through Multi Frame Generation, if you don’t mind fake frames, that is.

Even though this isn’t the lowest recorded price for this particular GPU, and it doesn’t even have overclocking, this $539.99 Asus Prime RTX 5070 is one of the most affordable ways you can get a mid-range Nvidia graphics card without breaking the bank. And with the memory shortage not expected to let up anytime soon, this is the best time to get a brand new graphics card to tide you over until prices normalize again in the future.
