iPhone Air’s MagSafe Battery has new firmware version
Typically with Apple’s hardware, the most common firmware update that’s released is for AirPods.
That happened yesterday with new firmware for AirPods Pro 3. And recently, Apple has shipped new AirPods updates about every month.
It’s far less common to see Apple accessories get firmware updates.
But today the iPhone Air MagSafe Battery has received new firmware (via MacRumors).
The latest firmware is version 101.0, up from the previous 99.0 release.
Apple doesn’t offer release notes. Presumably, the latest update won’t bring any noticeable changes, but rather offers improved compatibility with recent iOS versions.
There’s also no manual way to trigger the update.
Instead, the company advices that new firmware will install automatically in the background while the device is in use. So if you’re actively using your iPhone Air MagSafe Battery, it should get the new firmware automatically before long.
