If you want to avoid AI-generated music, there's one music platform that guarantees you'll only hear music created by humans. On Tuesday, the online music platform Bandcamp released a statement stating that music "generated wholly or in substantial part by AI" is banned from the platform as part of its new AI guidelines.

"We believe that the human connection found through music is a vital part of our society and culture, and that music is much more than a product to be consumed," Bandcamp's statement reads in part. "It's the result of a human cultural dialog stretching back before the written word."

The ban comes during a time when AI is rapidly advancing, making it increasingly difficult for people to distinguish between music created by code and that produced by humans.

According to a recent survey by Deezer, nearly 97% of 9,000 participants were unable to differentiate between AI-generated and human-made music. Late last year, a country artist created by AI, Breaking Rust, even topped Billboard's digital music charts.
