ChatGPT Go is finally worth your money, as OpenAI has almost doubled the usage limits and enabled ultimate access to GPT 5.2 Instant.
ChatGPT Go has been around for months now, but it was initially limited to developing countries, such as Indonesia.
More recently, GPT Go launched for users in the United States, and it costs $8, which is about $12 less than you pay for the current ChatGPT Plus ($20).
OpenAI says GPT Go is for those who want to upload files and create images, as well as access its latest models at a lower price point.
With ChatGPT Go, you can get expanded access to GPT 5.2 Instant, more messages, more uploads, and more image creation.
In addition, GPT Go also offers longer memory and context windows. This means GPT can remember more about you and reference your past chats in new conversations.
What are the differences between the two plans?
ChatGPT Go does not have reasoning capabilities, and it's locked to GPT 5.2 Instant. On the other hand, OpenAI says ChatGPT Plus is designed for work that requires deeper reasoning, and you can choose your preferred model.
There's also a third plan called ChatGPT Pro, and it costs $200 per month.
"It offers full access to our most powerful model, GPT‑5.2 Pro, along with maximum memory and context, and early previews of our newest features," OpenAI explained.
