Ring
Ring is a staple in the smart home security world, but it's also notoriously not among the most affordable. The new Ring Outdoor Cam Plus option for entry-level and seasoned users may change that.
New outdoor camera
Ring just announced the new outdoor camera, which is now available for pre-order and will begin shipping on March 26. The camera supports 2K resolution and boasts "brilliant image quality, even in low-light conditions."

"Outdoor Cam Plus delivers brilliant image quality with 2K video resolution, a wide field of view, and Low-Light Sight technology," said Elaine Smith, director of product at Ring. "Ring's Low-Light Sight technology uses advanced image processing techniques to show a clear, colorful view even in near-dark conditions. Whether it's a dimly lit front yard or business park, Outdoor Cam Plus can capture any moment with clarity and sharpness through the illumination of only a street light or other ambient light."
The best part
The Ring Outdoor Cam Plus is priced at only $100, a stark contrast to the only existing 2K cameras, the Ring Spotlight Cam Pro priced at $230 and the Ring Floodlight Cam Pro priced at $250.
Ring calls the Outdoor Cam Plus' resolution the company's best image quality yet. The camera is built with a high-quality lens and premium imaging sensors and uses Ring's Low-Light Sight technology to render clear views in almost pitch-black conditions. I tested the feature on the Ring Battery Doorbell Pro and was very pleased with the low-light image quality, surpassing my existing cameras' color night vision.
