Where to watch
Benfica vs. Real Madrid will air in the US on Paramount Plus.
Benfica's hopes of remaining in this season's UEFA Champions League rest on a win today against Real Madrid as José Mourinho hosts his former team at the Estádio da Luz.
Currently 29th in the 36-team table, the Eagles find themselves two points short of qualification for the playoffs, having claimed just two victories so far.
Los Blancos, meanwhile, find themselves in third coming into today's final group phase fixtures. But, with only two points separating them from 15th-place Juventus, Álvaro Arbeloa's men need a win on the road here to guarantee an automatic spot in the round of 16.
Benfica takes on Real Madrid at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, on Wednesday, Jan. 28. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. WET local time in Portugal, making it a 3 p.m. ET or 12 p.m. PT start in the US, an 8 p.m. GMT kickoff in the UK and a 7 a.m. AEDT kickoff in Australia on Thursday.
