We've reviewed the MSI Katana 15 HX, but it's a less powerful version than the one currently on sale. Our review model contained an RTX 5050 graphics processor, which can't compete with the RTX 5070 in gaming performance. However, the same Intel Core i7-14650HX CPU is used, as well as the chassis of the laptop, and the RGB 4-zone keyboard. The laptop is fairly priced for the specs and has room for upgrades to the RAM and storage capacities if desired. We liked the amount of upgradeability and repair options for the Katana 15 HX and RGB keyboard, but weren't overly impressed with the 720p webcam, keyboard heat during use, and a slightly dim display.
