The embattled outdoor retailer has already closed 49 locations. Closing sales at remaining stores are expected to be complete by May unless a buyer is found. After weeks of rumors, the company that operates Eddie Bauer stores in the United States and Canada has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. As part of the proceedings, Eddie Bauer LLC, which is owned by Catalyst Brands, is planning to wind down operations and close all of its remaining stores.
