Google finally launches the Pixel 10A, unveiling the lower-cost member of the Pixel 10 phone line Wednesday morning. The new phone starts at $499 for its 128GB model or $599 for its 256GB model. You might even be able to get it at an even lower price, because Google has been sending out discount codes to anyone that has signed up on the phone's preorder page.
The Pixel 10A does have a similar design to last year's 9A, but sees improvements with faster 30W wired charging speeds using a 45W adapter (up from 23W in the 9A), support for Satellite SOS connectivity and the phone's Quick Share feature is able to send photos and files to an iPhone over AirDrop.
The Pixel 10A has a lot to live up to, following the success of prior phones in Google's lower-cost A series of phones. Many people would be surprised by how much they can do with last year's Pixel 9A. But obviously, to hit that $500 price, there are compromises like having two rear cameras instead of three. And in the case of the Pixel 10A, PixelSnap magnets will not be in this phone like it is on other Pixel 10 phones, so you'll need to find a third-party case if you want to use the 10A with magnetic accessories.

The Pixel 10A comes at a busy time. Apple is rumored to launch a new version of it's affordable phone, likely called the iPhone 17E soon. Samsung is holding a Galaxy Unpacked event on Feb. 25 where it will likely reveal the new galaxy S26 series. And at the end of the month is Mobile World Congress 2026, the largest phone event of the year.
Pixel 10A release date
Following its Feb. 18 launch, Google's Pixel 10A is now available to preorder and will officially go on sale on March 5. This date will mark one of the earliest debuts for a Pixel A series phone, as prior affordable Google phones have typically been released in the spring or summer.
