Where to watch

Celta Vigo vs. Real Madrid will air in the US on ESPN Select.

After two damaging defeats on the spin, Real Madrid needs a win on Friday to keep alive its fading title hopes as it faces Celta Vigo, a team looking to cement its place in Spain's top six.

Los Blancos boss Alvaro Arbeloa saw his side crash to an unexpected 1-0 loss at home to midtable Getafe on Monday, and that blow followed an equally damaging defeat at Osasuna two weeks ago. Those results mean Real can't afford any further slip-ups, with league leader Barcelona now a comfortable four points ahead coming into this weekend's matches in La Liga.

Getting back to winning ways today is unlikely to be a formality for the visitors, however. Celta Vigo are currently going great guns after four wins from their last four matches across all competitions, with European qualification now very much within the grasp of Claudio González's men.

Celta Vigo takes on Real Madrid at the Estadio de Balaídos on Friday, March 6. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. CET local time, which is 3 p.m. ET or noon PT in the US and Canada, 8 p.m. GMT in the UK and 7 a.m. AEDT in Australia on Saturday morning.
