Why This Matters

Apple’s expansion of autoplaying video previews within its TV app enhances the user experience by making browsing more dynamic and engaging, aligning with industry trends of autoplay content across platforms. This update can influence user engagement and content discovery, impacting both consumers and content providers in the streaming ecosystem.

The same behavior can be found in the Apple TV tab with the ‘New Seasons This Spring’ row.

Starting with Your Friends & Neighbors season 2, pause a moment on each title in the row and autoplaying previews will kick in. You’ll see this effect with every title in that large-artwork row.
