Why This Matters

The anticipated launch of Apple's first foldable iPhone, likely arriving in December 2026, signifies a major shift towards innovative form factors in the smartphone industry. While traditional iPhones are expected in September, the foldable model's delayed release highlights Apple's strategic approach to integrating new technology. This development could influence future smartphone designs and consumer expectations for premium devices.

Key Takeaways

Apple is widely expected to unveil its first iPhone with a foldable display this year. However, the rumored iPhone Fold could actually launch months after the iPhone 18 Pro.

The design also appears to be locked in as CAD files have surfaced this month. This aligns with previous design leaks that have turned out to be accurate.
