Apple has had a busy year of new product launches already, but there are at least four additional products that reportedly are ready to launch, save for one key holdup: the new Siri.
Siri’s delays are the reason for several MIA Apple products
When you’re a company like Apple that develops the hardware, software, and services that power products, you gain more control over launch timing.
In the pre-Apple silicon era, for example, Macs weren’t updated as often because Apple was beholden to Intel’s chip development timeline.
But even when everything is in-house, a single area of development snags can still hold up product launches.
That’s apparently what has happened with several Apple products that are waiting for Siri’s forthcoming upgrades.
Siri’s new AI features were first expected to launch in March 2025, then got delayed. Apple later promised that what it’s developing is actually much bigger than the features it previewed at WWDC 2024.
For a while, reporting indicated that March 2026 was Apple’s new target launch window, with iOS 26.4. But then came the Bloomberg report that features would be delayed into iOS 26.5 and iOS 27.
Now, the first iOS 26.5 beta is here with no signs of Siri changes. And reporting increasingly points to iOS 27 being a huge Siri release.
According to Mark Gurman, there are several Apple products he says are ready to go but waiting on the new Siri.
