ChatGPT may make it easier to find all those files you uploaded during your chats

TL;DR Several UI changes are in the works for the ChatGPT app.

There’s a new custom share sheet and file picker interface.

We may also get an Uploaded files option and options for editing an attached photo.

If you frequently use ChatGPT, you may notice a few changes in the near future. OpenAI is currently working on several UI updates that could eventually hit the app. Here’s what we’ve discovered in our APK teardown of the ChatGPT app.

Currently, when you tap on the share icon below a ChatGPT response, it will open the system share sheet (see screenshot one). While digging through app version 1.2026.090, we discovered a new custom share sheet. This share sheet is part of the ChatGPT app and will be the first thing you see after tapping the share icon.

In the top row, there’s a selection of specific apps where you can share the link directly. If you have the apps installed, you should see the following: Google/Samsung Messages
