Why This Matters

The introduction of pinned music in iOS 26 enhances the CarPlay experience by providing quick and easy access to favorite tracks, playlists, or artists, making in-car entertainment safer and more convenient. This feature reflects Apple's ongoing focus on improving user customization and safety in automotive environments, benefiting both consumers and the broader tech industry by emphasizing seamless integration and user-centric design.

Tapping through a bunch of Music screens to find the right album or playlist tends to take too long. But pins are prominently displayed at the top of the Library screen. And if you configure them for one-tap playback on your iPhone, that same behavior carries over to CarPlay too.
