Barcelona will need to pull off a comeback victory today if it's to earn a place in the UEFA Champions League semifinals when they travel to the Spanish capital to face La Liga rival Atlético Madrid.
Barça slumped to a 2-0 defeat last week during the first leg of this all-Spanish quarterfinal. Its efforts were hampered by goals from Atleti's Julian Alvarez and Alexander Sorloth, in a match that also saw its defender Pau Cubarsi get suspended. Cubarsi won't be playing in this week's second leg.
The prize for today's winner is a last-four clash against either Arsenal or Sporting CP.
Atlético Madrid takes on FC Barcelona at the Metropolitano Stadium on Tuesday, April 14. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. CEST local time in Spain, making it an 8 p.m. BST kickoff in the UK, a 3 p.m. ET or 12 p.m. PT start in the US, and a 5 a.m. AEST kickoff in Australia on early Wednesday.
