Anyone can join the beta software program at beta.apple.com to get advanced access to forthcoming updates for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and more.
Today Apple released public beta 2 for iPadOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5, and more.
The new releases are the exact same builds that shipped to developers yesterday.
So far after a day of testing, changes seem pretty minimal compared to beta 1 from a couple weeks ago.
Apple Maps now has a popup with details on ads that will launch in the US and Canada this summer. Otherwise, it’s been hard to spot anything new.
Beta 1 of iOS 26.5 and its companion updates brought end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging to the Messages app, a new Suggested Places feature in Maps, and some smaller updates.
