Ever since Tom's Guide was spun off from Tom's Hardware in 2007, it's built its own voice and its own audience, morphing into a lifestyle tech publication that helps its readers make smart buying decisions on everything from smartphones and TVs, to mattresses and coffee prep . And today, the site is taking a bold new step, with a relaunch of its homepage, a focus on up-to-the-minute news and reactions, and a host of new features.
Tom's Guide's long-time leader, Mark Spoonauer, calls the revamped site "the biggest relaunch in our history," and says the changes are all about connecting TG readers with experts and "...real, tangible value," helping readers find the right product faster, and avoiding bad upgrades.
The homepage is newly overhauled to be more of a destination, with a section for live tech news and reactions from experts. You'll of course still be able to find the latest launches from big-name tech companies, as well as developments in the realm of streaming, and heads up on important new security threats.

The site now also has a section showcasing its most-viral TikToks of things like unboxings, testing, and editors' opinions – all focused on finding the products that are worth your money.
A new AI-infused Product Finder shopping tool, launching first for TVs, lets you search in plain language for things like "the best OLED TVs under $1,000," filtering results for value, based on editorial testing, and offering up the lowest prices.
Also arriving in this revamp is a "Leap-O-Meter tool, where you can plug in a product you own and something you're considering upgrading to (say, the latest iPhone), and you'll get a Leap Score, along with a summary of the feature changes that make the most difference – again, along with the latest related deals.
