Why This Matters

Spotify's introduction of TV-style recaps for audiobooks and expanded language support for its Page Match feature signifies a strategic move to enhance user engagement and accessibility. These updates make it easier for users to pick up audiobooks seamlessly and cater to a broader global audience, reflecting Spotify's commitment to innovation in digital media. The addition of physical book sales further diversifies its offerings, positioning Spotify as a comprehensive platform for both audio and print media.

The music-streaming service also announced a physical bookshop on the platform earlier this year, and it’s now live on Android in the US and UK. Meanwhile, iPhone owners can start buying physical books from next week.
